SPECIAL AWARDSDorothy Moller
From the earliest days of the founding of the 390th Memorial Museum, Dorothy Moller has been active in our success. In recognition of her many years of service, the Board of Directors presented her with a special award. Set on clear Acrylic and about 9” tall, it features a photograph engraved on a metal plate showing Colonel Joe in the cockpit of his B-17. The inscription to Dorothy Donnelley Moller is as follows: With deep appreciation from the 390th Memorial Museum Board of Directors for your love, support, and dedication to the Museum, inspired by the vision that you and Colonel Joe had in creating a living memorial honoring the men of the 390th for their service to the nation in World War II.
By the Board of Directors This award was designed by Frank Drain and presented to Dorothy by outgoing Foundation President Mary Truitt during the festivities surrounding our fifth annual reunion. John Warner
For more than two decades, John Warner has served the 390th Memorial Museum and the Veterans Association in many capacities. He has been an important part of both organizations serving on both boards of directors and working as a volunteer as the Director of Research for the museum. His service encompasses the better part of 25 years. His award is a 10” by 13” brass plate mounted on a hardwood background. The plate includes a depiction of the Museum building and a list of a few of John’s many accomplishments over the years. The engraving states in part: In recognition of your outstanding dedication and service to the 390th Memorial Museum Foundation, Inc., we salute you! For giving so much of yourself to the Museum for so
many years, for being such a good friend to the Museum, the Veterans
Association and to your fellow Veterans, This award was commissioned by the Board of Directors and was designed by Frank Drain. It was presented to Mr. Warner during the annual reunion by Foundation Secretary and Director Allan Moller. |
