Volunteer in the Spotlight

Summer, 2002

“Dependability” could be the nickname for our Don Anderson. Don discovered our Museum in 1997 and with his love for aircraft and history adopted us. It wasn’t long before he accepted the responsibility for scheduling all other volunteers.

He is a willing, a proactive worker who donates substantial amounts of time to our cause. He also contributes most of our cleaning supplies and occasional “goodies” for the volunteers.

During his regular Friday tour of duty at the Museum, Don acts as a Docent, a “sanitary engineer”, and schedules the volunteers’ work some two months in advance.

Don served in the U. S. Navy from 1948 to 1953 and saw service aboard three different carriers and two air stations before and during the Korean war. Don also has a fondness for antique automobiles.

Thanks Don! We all appreciate your commitment to the 390th Memorial Museum.
