My father Johnny L. Moore flew several weather missions and was assigned to the weather station. He passed away in 2003 however living me hundreds of photos taken while serving. I want to get these scanned and placed on a CD to give away.

Does anyone remember him?

Thanks

I was visiting a local cemetery in Taylor Tx. today to put some flags on veterans grave sites and found a member of the 571st Bomb Sq. SSgt. Albert A Spacil. KIA Sept 1944. Anyone now where I might find out more about SSgt. Spacil and what mission he was on when KIA. Thanks for any help.

Son of William E. Hofer, R/O of Ole Smoke-568th.

My father passed away in 2000. He was a 22 year veteran of the 509th Composite Group (B-29), SAC (B-36) and TAC (NCOIC Jet Engine/Recip. Shop Ramstein). He had less hours in the B-17s (aprox. 240) than the 29s or 36s, however I do believe he held his time with the 390th in highest regard. In 1959 we went to Framlingham air base. He orientated himself on the field, stating "this is where we were parked before our last mission" (16 March 1944). I saw him look down at his feet. There was a intact .50 caliber round. The runway/ramp area had been recently plowed up no doubt unearthing this artifact. He mounted it on his desk plaque at Ramstein.

I Was stationed at the 390th March of 1943. Our support group was the 1262 MP Co. and vividly remember waking up the flight crews, taking them to to planes and watching the return.

My Grandfather Lyle Bell is listed in the mueseum's archives. I was wondering if anyone could help me out with a list of missions he flew or any other information about him during that time? Possible pictures or anything! Thank you so much
