Elmer N. Leggett

2nd Lt, Bombardier

 12/5/1924 - 2/5/2003


Elmer grew  up in Berkeley, California before entering the Air Force.

Elmer lived in Foster City for 28 years prior to living in Stockton with his wife Patricia.  He and his wife had known each other since they were 7 years old.  After the war they married other people and years later married each other in 1971.  He and Patty were married to each other for 31 years.  Between them they have 4 children, 3 boys and 1 girl.  Their children have given them 22 grandchildren and 3 great-grand children!

They had a wonderful life filled with many happy memories which included traveling all over the world.

Elmer worked on the early Gemini projects prior to retirement and enjoyed his many grandchildren as well as card and board games with his wife.

He is buried at the Rockville cemetery in California.
